Where I’m at
In April 2020, I started my current position at Intuit. I’m a customer success self-help content designer for our consumer group. What does that lengthy title actually mean?
In plain terms, I help write and edit the content for Mint’s and TurboTax’s help article library. I also work on other types of messaging, like in-product pop-ups and emails.
When a user can’t quite figure out something on their own, we’re the first stop they turn to. My content is easy to understand, empathetic and to the point–basically the opposite of IKEA furniture instructions (sorry, Sweden).
What I do
Manage entire help content catalog for TurboTax US and Canada
Obsessively tweak content based on user feedback
Pull weekly reports on content helpful rate, contact rate, etc.
Verify navigation, repair broken links and clean up content
Where I’ve been
Senior Editor at Sharecare (2015 – 2020)
I managed the production of up to 50 marketing newsletters per month, including selecting content, writing copy, and sourcing images. They were sent to upwards of 1 million readers. I also led the production of multiple email series paid by pharmaceutical clients, coordinating with account managers to make sure all KPIs were met. All of these were sent with a constant focus on A/B testing and optimizing future sends based on past results.
Most importantly, I oversaw the monthly Costco order for the office kitchen. I learned the hard way that you don’t mess with someone’s snacks.
