Review: L’Oréal Extraordinary Clay

Mask

This mask was just okay. First, it smells TERRIBLE. Second, it’s such a burden to remember to put it in my hair before hopping in the shower. I’m a morning showerer, so adding any extra steps to my routine before I’ve had my coffee is asking a lot of me. Waiting around for 5 minutes with this smelly concoction on my head… yeah it’s not the most glamorous situation.

I used the mask in combination with the extraordinary clay shampoo and conditioner. My hair was less oily, but I do not know if the shampoo or the mask is responsible for it.

Also, after less than 10 washes, I’m almost out of the mask. Maybe I’m using too much product, but I tried to really work it into my roots. $7 is very affordable, but I’d imagine you’d have to buy several jars throughout the year.

Bottom line: I won’t be purchasing this in the future.

Shampoo

I like this shampoo, but it’s nothing groundbreaking. Gets the job done and who could complain at $5?

Conditioner

I have the entire extraordinary clay set and this is my least favorite item. The line touts that it’ll keep roots oil-free while keeping ends moisturized, but I don’t think it delivers on the second half of that promise. This conditioner is just okay; it’s certainly not as hydrating as other conditioners I use. This didn’t make my hair soft at all, but at $5 it’s hard to complain.

I received this all for free for testing purposes from Influenster, but all opinions are my own.
