There’s less than two weeks until Halloween, which means I’m starting to panic about my costume right now.
I’ve never been great at planning ahead for this holiday, which normally results in me heading to a cleaned-out Party City the night before whatever party, and buying a $70 piece of plastic that’s supposed to be a “sexy” power ranger … and it won’t even be the pink one.
To combat this dilemma, I’ve made a pact with myself that anything I buy for a Halloween costume, I have to be able to wear again. This leads to buying quality clothing (no plastic-like polyester here) that actually looks good on me. Also, it means I get an excuse to buy myself clothes! Everyone wins!
Recently my Halloween fascination has turned toward the classic costumes of ghosts, pumpkins, spiders, etc., and figuring out how to make them both chic and unique.
Here are a few of those classic ideas with updated silhouettes and adorable accessories.
And while you’re crafting your creepy costume, I highly suggest listening to this playlist.
