Another award show, another round of celebrity style. Even though there (thankfully) weren’t any twerking white girls, the VMAs were still a watch-worthy event if for nothing else but the red carpet.
Say what you will about their “fame,” but the Kardashian/Jenner clan continually slays in their fashion choices.

Kylie is basically wearing a big, silky robe, and I’m so jealous. She’s probably the comfiest person there.

Kendall is easily one of my favorites of the evening. Mesh is my weakness, and when paired with high-waisted trousers? This all-black ensemble melts me.
Speaking of all-black everything, to no one’s surprise Solange Knowles killed it in a bedazzled suit.

I love the bagginess of the jacket coupled with the straight style of the trousers. Solange’s natural hair and makeup makes the glittering suit not too over-the-top.
However, bright colors also had their place on the red carpet.

Honestly has anyone ever looked that good in a skin-tight jumpsuit?

The look people are most excited about comes from Katy Perry and Riff Raff doing the ultimate throwback with their tribute to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Despite my intense aversion for Katy Perry, I’m obsessed with this and am going to use it as an excuse to rock some head-to-toe denim in the near future.

Amber Rose has long been a style icon in the hip hop world, and for good reason. She’s continued to rock her hairless head long after the shaved-hair trend passed, showing that her style is truly her own. She was hands down my favorite of the evening.

This chained getup is essentially a glorified bikini, but it’s fun, unique and sexy—a trifecta perfect for the VMAs. Amber is giving me major Rose McGowan at the 1998 VMAs vibes. In other words, sheer (or see-through) perfection.

Bonus worst dressed!
While I don’t like the idea of a worst-dressed list (the world doesn’t need the extra negativity), here is a picture of the consistently atrocious Jeremy Scott.
